As a looming superstar in Ottumwa's highly-competitive gaming realm, Brandon Burtlow has been selected to be one of the featured Future Superstars in the Walter Day Collection of Video Game & Pinball Trading Cards. During the recent Ottumwa Trading Card Ceremonies, Brandon was among an elite group of video game champions who were honored on trading cards for their important contributions to the global gaming culture. Presented by Billy MItchell and Walter Day, the trading card was unveiled -- along with an AWARD CERTIFICATE shown herein -- on Saturday, November 11, 2017, during the Ottumwa Old School Arcade Galaxies of Gaming Festival, at the Quincy Place Mall, in Ottumwa, Iowa.
Brandon Derek Burtlow is an emerging star in the Ottumwa gaming scene and is in the youngest son of Terry and Ginny Burtlow. He is a part of the Gamer-of-the-Year competition and he has had first, second, and third place victories, putting him in the top three. Brandon is 7 years old and enjoys gaming. He takes people under his wing at the arcade and shows them how to play games, if they are unsure how to play. Brandon has even learned how to fix some games and put credits on them. He is becoming quite the junior tech on the video games. Some of Brandon's favorite games to play include Cruis'n World, Minecraft, Mame, Pokemon, and House of the Dead. Brandon is involved in awana's, Good News Club, and 4-H with ISU extension. He is such a ball of energy, with a kind heart. He believes in himself and others. Brandon is looking forward to keeping Ottumwa's legacy alive and make the world realize that Ottumwa is “The VIdeo Game Capital of the World.”
