  A love of arcade machines was cultivated early in Ian’s world, then in 2012 it occurred to him that indeed it would be possible to build his very own machine.  A trip to the lumber yard and a weekend of creativity yielded a real arcade machine, right in his own apartment!  A seed was planted and he thought to himself, What next?!?! The dream of “Yan’s arcade” was born. Living in a small apartment it was obvious the furniture needed to go.  By using a friend’s wood-working shop on weekend “all-nighters,” he built 8 machines over the course of a year and a half. Ian’s most proud project was in cleverly devising an Atari 2600 home console classic, Yar’s Revenge, into a full-blown full-size arcade wonder. Ian now inspires would-be arcade restorationists to get off the couch, take action, and build something fun.  A spirit of ingenuity the world will be better for in the long run. The diligence and effort has paid back in a windfall, “I invite friends over at weekends to the arcade for general fun and hi score competitions, People seem to enjoy it as much as i do and for me that is all I had hoped for!”
