Issued at the 2014 Pinball Expo in Chicago, IL, on October 18, 2014.
John joined the pinball industry in 1992 and in the course of his career has been responsible for game design, game mechanics and even artwork (for Bally’s Crocodile Hunter) on many legendary pinball machines. To honor his illustrious career, he was inducted into the Pinball Expo Hall of Fame on October 20, 2012. Among his early projects for Data East were Star Wars and Tales from the Crypt and after receiving major accolades for the 1994 Guns N Roses pinball release, he spent a couple of years designing for Sega. Eventually, he moved on to Stern and produced more exciting titles, among them Austin Powers. After a short sojourn at Bally, he returned to Stern in 2007 and has been a driving force behind their heavy schedule of high end productions, always with a dash of rock star panache. Among his most recent hits is Metallica pinball, a serious contender in the world of coin-op cash flow.
