Class of 2017 to be unveiled at the Official Walter Day Trading Card Museum, March 17-19, 2017, during the Arcade Expo in Banning, California
BANNING, CALIFORNIA -- On Saturday, March 18, 2017, The Official Walter Day Trading Card Museum will present in ceremony its annual slate of "Trading Card Awards" and unveil The Class of 2017 -- the latest cards that will be added to the Museum displays.
And, it will all happen during ARCADE EXPO 3.0
Arcade Expo 3.0 is one of the world's largest retro gaming festivals celebrating the amazing legacy of the coin-op era of electronic arcade machines. Founded by John Weeks, the event features John's personal collection of more than 800 arcade games and is considered by many to be "The World's fair" of electronic arcade gaming. Most people are surprised to learn that The Official Walter Day Trading Card Museum is an actual bricks-and-mortar facility nested inside John Week's fabulous Museum of Pinball--the place in Banning, California that holds the annual Arcade Expo. The Official Walter Day Trading Card Museum is the brainchild of John Weeks, who believed in Walter Day's trading card project so much that he devoted a section of his sprawling facility to house the Museum. And, to help make the Museum a reality, Eric Tessler, of La Habra, California, sponsored the expenses for creating the museum displays, printing the literature....and even printed at his own expense more than 500 different trading cards that are part of The Walter Day Collection. Thanks to Eric and John, there are currently about 50 display units housed in the Museum that display a total of about 600-700 trading cards produced by The Walter Day Collection over the last seven years.
