Walter will be a special guest at the Pinball Expo in Schaumburg, IL on October 27-30th, 2021. Come join us to meet and greet Walter as well as many other special guests. Along with the speical guests at the show, there will be retro gaming consoles to play, tournaments to enter, and the International Video Game Hall of Fame Presentation will be Live at the Expo this year.
In 2019, the Pinball Expo reserved a room for retro gaming consoles to be played. It was our first introduction to this genre. It was a big hit, so we decided to expand on this idea and create a whole section of the expo to retro gaming. We will have vendors, consoles, special guests from the video game community. Todd Friedman (collector and author of retro gaming) and Paul Zimmerman (Atari 2600 world record holder) will be bringing in the classics from Atari to PlayStation, ColecoVision to Xbox, all the classics will be covered. Vendors will be there to sell many games, systems and other accessories. Special guests will sign autographs and take pictures. Come live the past in this amazing area of the pinball expo.
Pinball Expo is the brain child of Rob Berk who grew up playing pinball.
His dream was to recognize his heroes – the pinball designers and artists that created the games he loved. With the help of Bill Kurtz and Mike Pacak, Pinball Expo became a reality taking place in Chicago, the home of pinball. Founded in 1985, Pinball Expo is the longest-running event dedicated to pinball.
Beginning in 2021 the Pinball Expo will be staged at the Renaissance Schaumburg Convention Center in Schaumburg, Illinois. The festivities will include a tour of the Stern Pinball factory, a full schedule of speakers and seminars, pinball tournaments, a vendor hall to find anything and everything imaginable for the pinball curious, and a host of other activities that, once again, will bring the best of what pinball means to so many.
