During the recent Ottumwa Trading Card Ceremonies, Hupaul Deangelo Lionel Camacho was among an elite group of video game luminaries from Empire Arcadia who were honored on trading cards for their important contributions to the global gaming culture. Their trading cards were presented by Billy MItchell and Walter Day -- along with the AWARD CERTIFICATE shown below -- on Saturday, November 11, 2017, during the Ottumwa Old School Arcade Galaxies of Gaming Festival, at the Quincy Place Mall, in Ottumwa, Iowa. To see the other trading cards unveiled during this ceremony -- or to see the long chronological history of the TRADING CARDS AWARDS TRADITION, go to this link: Chronological History of the Trading Card Awards Ceremonies

In 2015 Hupaul entered his very first tournament for Super Smash Bros. Wii U. Despite not doing well, his appetite to compete and learn from his opponents grew. In 2017, Hupaul 'aka' Traplord met Isaiah TriForce Johnson at the launch line of the Nintendo Switch event. There the two became friends as Traplord learned more about competitive gaming. In hearing about eSports’ 30+ year history from TriForce, Traplord became fascinated with the culture and legacy of eSports. Not too long afterwards, he became a player for Empire Arcadia, a Guinness World Records-awarded eSports team. Since he became a part of the team, Traplord picked up his pace, competing in more and more tournaments and has now even become an "ARMS" competitor. As he gained more and more experience in the eSports industry, Traplord became equally as interested in the history and culture of eSports. TriForce then invited Traplord to come with him to Ottumwa, Iowa, which is recognized worldwide as the “the Video Game Capital of the World.” There, he and TriForce joined the celebration as Ottumwa marked the 35th Anniversary of the famous Life Magazine Photo -- even having a photo reunion that featured many of the original gamers who appeared in the 1982 photo. Plus, Traplord saw TriForce get inducted into the International Video Game Hall of Fame as a member of the Class of 2016. His visit was made complete when he was invited to participate in the Ottumwa eSports Championships, where he would compete in ARMS for the Nintendo Switch. Traplord -- like many other members of the team -- valued the opportunity to visit Ottumwa and experience this once-in-a-lifetime gaming event. • Trading Card artwork by Caerwyn Akiwumi-Jones
