Our next Trading Card Spotlight features Geoffrey Lin, who currently is displayed on card number 16
, from the Superstars of 2011 Collection. Geoffrey Lin is a full time college student. Geoffrey offers his insight on various games and systems. He holds many world records in video gaming on such games as Platoon on the NES and No More Heroes on the Wii. Outside video gaming Geoffrey enjoys digital photography. What are your opinions about today’s generation of video games? How do you compare them to older, classic games?
I think that a lot of games today have much bigger stories to tell, but sometimes they feel too easy just so we could find out what happens next. Do you remember your first video game / arcade you played and what do you remember about it?
One of the first games that I remember playing is Legend of Kage for the NES. I only remember there being ninjas.Did you ever think when you were younger you would be on a Video game Trading card?
When I was young, the thought of being on a trading card never crossed my mind. When did you first meet Walter day and where was it at?
I first met Walter at the Northwest Pinball and Arcade Show in Seattle back in 2009.If you could describe Walter Day in one word, what would that word be and why?
Kind. He has a very kind personality and is very friendly.Are you still involved with gaming today, and what role do you play?
Currently, I’m not involved with gaming as much as I used to.What is your favorite portable gaming device?
Nintendo 3DS.What games today do you play and what are your favorite genres of games?
I like to play any games that I can take with me on the go. Currently, my favorite genres are puzzle and action/adventure.Growing up were you team Sega or Nintendo and why?
Nintendo. When I was born, the rest of the family already had the NES and we just stuck with it.Are video games good for relieving stress?
Absolutely!Do you learn anything from playing video games?
I’ve learned that sometimes you have to make quick decisions in order to get something accomplished.
