Paul Drury has been writing for Retro Gamer, the UK's premier classic gaming magazine, since it began in 2004. Over the last 13 years, he has interviewed over 150 programmers, designers, artists, musicians, and high scorers, including Nolan Bushnell, Ralph Baer, Ed Logg, Warren Davis, Eugene Jarvis, and Dave Theurer amongst many others – his 'Black Book' of industry contacts is second to none! He also reviews modern games for his local paper, The Nottingham Post, and can be regularly found conducting live interviews with industry figures at various retro gaming events across the UK. Paul’s enthusiasm and encyclopaedic knowledge of video gaming from its humble beginnings through to today’s modern console platforms, has made him the ‘go-to’ person for many European publications over the years. His writing has successfully bridged the gap across the Atlantic, bringing video game history from the USA to Europe and vice-versa. When he's not writing about video games both old and new, Paul is a Senior Lecturer in Special Educational Needs at Nottingham Trent University.
